Adult Faith Formation

May 26, 2009

Adult Faith Formation, how many of us actively work on forming and reforming our faith? In the USCCB’s pastoral plan for adult faith formation, they list six dimensions that need to be developed to be a well formed Catholic.

The six dimensions are: 1 – knowledge of the faith, 2 – liturgical life, 3 – moral formation, 4 – prayer, 5 – communal life, 6 – missionary spirit. The outline for these dimensions are in the link above.

As Catholics, we need to pursue the issues of the day, definitely. But we also need to pursue the Catholic faith itself, and share it with those around us. The more we know our faith, practice our faith, live our faith, share our faith, the more we have a chance of impacting the world around us.
